Honey Beach Club - Kingbury Hotel

Review : Honey Beach Club - Kingbury Hotel

The ambience is very lovely and totally unique in Colombo. It gives it a feel of a pool bar which consits of a very calm atmosphere with the breeze of the Indian Ocean hitting your senses. It is the ideal place kick back and relax after a long
week at work.

Honey Beach offers Cocktails as well. I
personally reccomend their Blue Ocean
cocktail as it gives a sweet note with the
hint of coconut and rum. It serves the perfect
balance. Their Strawberry Margerita was a bit
too strong as it had a hint of spices which
highlighted the alchohol. I would not
reccomend it to an individual with low alchohol tolerance.

In additon to the their cocktails, they have introduced a brand new pizza menu. I tried to Tuscan pesto chicken. (Rs.1800) completed with oven roasted chicken, pesto sauce and bacon and onions. The toppings were really fresh, high quality and come together really well. The base was very thin and it was a really satisfying meal.

The Commons Coffee House

Review : The Commons Coffee House
Commons is very spacious with a private-ish dining room and plenty of outdoor space. It is well furnished, there is a very upbeat, relaxed vibe with bright coloured walls and it is Colombo's ideal spot for hanging out.
I tried their Monglian prawn rice and it was the perfect balance between sweet and savory. Given that it bursts with flavours making it a little party in your mouth. It is a must try at Commons. Talking about their burger it was not the best, i personally found it too big and a bit too bland but it might be ideal for a burger lover.

Tea Avenue

Review : Tea Avenue
Oreo Lavish and Ferero Lavish
Creamy Prawn Pasta, Breakfast menu : American Breakfast
Creamy Chicken Pasta.

Located in Alexandra Place, Colombo 7, Tea Avenue offers a delicious range of drinks and food. Tea Avenue offers a cozy ambience to catch up with friends or relax after a tiring day with a good meal and music. I quite liked the display of their history and heritage, with photographs of the de Silva family dating back to 1936, their plantations, and a little display of their tea with explanations. Their Ferero lavish (RS.900) creates the perfect desert to top a good meal. Beware as you won't be able to finish it on your own.
Talking about their creamy prawn pasta, it is the ultimate prawn lovers dream as it is filled with creamy goodness and oozing cheese with the combinination with the saltiness of the prawn is guaranteed to make your tummy sing.

Bubble Me Bubble Tea

Review : Bubble Me Bubble Tea.

Chocolate, Vanila and caramel slushie. Almond Milk Tea and Mixed Berry Slushie.
Located in the heart of Colombo, Bubble Me Bubble Tea is the ultimate hangout spot. Consisting of a variety of teas ranging from iced teas to slushies, they offer drinks ranging from Rs. 300 - Rs. 500. The fun part of this experience is the additional selection of bubbles for your drink. You get your classic tapioca, to popping boboa flavours ranging from Strawberry, Blueberry and Chocolate and even Yogurt. I personally recommend the mixed berry slushie with blueberry popping boboa as it is also their highest selling item.
